    A computer program translates the needs of end users into machine language. A computer dislikes ambiguities; everything must be specified very clearly down to the smallest details.

    I mentioned CL (command language) in my last post and how I still use it today. Why? Because it's logical. Create command is CRTCMD in CL syntax. We don't grep around in the dark.While working as a technical analyst with long overnight hours and carrying a beeper (remember those?), my fingers were sometimes faster than my brain. Instead of typing "signoff" I often misspelled it as "singoff".Darn system knew what I meant but chose to send me a ??? so I created a command and called it the Idiot Signoff. CRTCMD CMD(SINGOFF) PGM(SIGNOFF).

    very interesting to read, things may not as simple as it seems to be using a computer #computer #science

    If a computer does a million processes per second, how come for (int I = 0; I < 1000000; I++) {cout <<I;} takes forever? quora.com

    Summary: Encoding schemes and number systems are essential for computers to interpret keyboard inputs. When a key is pressed, it is mapped to a unique code and then converted to binary. Standard encoding schemes like ASCII ensure consistency across keyboards. ASCII, developed in the 1960s, remains the most commonly used encoding scheme and can encode characters in the English language.Takeaway: Understanding encoding schemes and number systems is crucial for computer systems to interpret keyboard inputs accurately. ASCII, a widely used encoding scheme, standardizes character representation and allows computers to communicate effectively.Hashtags: #EncodingSchemes #NumberSystem #ASCII #ComputerKeyboard #BinaryCode #CharacterRepresentation

    Today, in the computer networks class, our teacher discussed bit stuffing and error correction operations on binary-formatted data. Finally, out of curiosity, I wrote code to convert strings to binary and vice versa.It's really easy, and I'm feeling good after executing this old, idle knowledge. Now, as the next topic is bit stuffing, if anyone has a good idea to handle worst-case situations, please feel free to reply.

    ASCIl stands for "American Standard Code for Information Interchange." It is like a special language that computers use to understand and represent text. In ASCII, every letter, number, and symbol you can type on a keyboard has its own unique code. So, when you type a letter like 'A,' the computer actually reads a specific number behind the scenes to know it's the letter 'A'. This way, computers all around the world can understand and communicate with each other using the same code for letters and symbols. It is like a secret code that helps computers talk to each other and show us the words and characters we see on screens every day.#askmeoo #acronymoftheweek #acronyms #ascii #tech #acronymsearchengine
