What are Heirloom Shards?
Heirloom Shards are a form of currency within Apex Legends that are used exclusively within the Heirloom Store to purchase cosmetic items. Heirlooms cost 150 Heirloom Shards to craft once they rotate after the event they were introduced in concludes, so you'll need to accumulate a fair number in order to purchase one once it moves to the in-game shop. How to Get Heirloom Shards
Heirloom Shards are obtained via Apex Packs. These can be earned in a number of ways:
- Ranking up in the Battle Pass
- Levelling up
- Purchasing packs outright with Apex Coins
Each Apex Pack you open has around a 1% chance of containing 150 Heirloom Shards. Respawn has also installed a pity timer, where you cannot open 500 Apex Packs without getting any Heirloom Shards, though you'd have to be incredibly unlucky to only receive 150 Shards in 500 total packs.
