How to get cheaper HHN tickets? ›

The key is to purchase as early as you can. You can purchase Early Event Access separately, which allows you to enter the park and access Early Access houses at 5:30 p.m. Want to save more green? You can get discount general admission tickets or single-night HHN tickets from your favorite froggy friends.

If you only purchase a General Admission ticket for any of the Universal Studios theme parks, you must exit at closing time on Halloween Horror Nights dates. If you purchase a separate HHN evening ticket or a Day/Night ticket, you can remain in the park from opening to close.

Costume Policy

Guests may wear costumes to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk Hollywood (“Universal”) on 2024 Halloween Horror Nights event dates subject to Universal's Code of Conduct and to the following costume guidelines: Guests must be fully clothed, including shoes and shirts.

California resident discount for Universal Studios

There are fewer discounts for California residents wanting to visit Universal Studios Hollywood. Occasionally Universal will offer residents one- or two-day discount tickets on its website, so always check there before purchasing tickets from somewhere else.

However, while rare, sometimes tickets might become available for a particular night that is listed as “sold out.” I recommend checking with the front desk at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to see if any last-minute tickets have become available. You can check with the front desk upon checking into your hotel.

RIP Tour 2024 Prices & Dates

RIP Tour prices vary depending on the date. They range from $359.99 to $489.99 per person, plus tax. And that does not include your HHN Ticket, you need to purchase an event ticket in addition to the RIP Tour.

I'll be honest: you can't dodge everything. But if you look carefully, most scare zones have a small buffer around them, into which the “scareactors” don't tread. Look for it, and walk accordingly. If you can't avoid walking straight through, don't cower and cling to your friends.
