At what age do you start sleep training? Do you wait until they are in their own room?

I never did and never will. if it's not something you want to do you really don't have to.

@Baby2Hopeful,
Same here. I'd rather be tired than do that to a baby. My older kids sleep fine so a few sleepy months I can do.

Recommended to start after 4 months and no you don’t have to wait but it seems easier.

we just started (4.5 months) and moved baby to her own room for it. You don’t have to wait until they’re in the own room but we just thought it would be easier to do the transition all at once

We moved our LO to his own room around 3.5 months. We started Ferber last week at 4.5 months. It was the best decision we could have made. We’re all sleeping much better and there’s actually less crying overall throughout the day. He was crying just going to his room and while we were rocking/bouncing him anyway so we trained

Nope! I don’t do any of this stuff and my daughter is an incredible sleeper.
Our only routine is we give her bath time at 9:30pm and by 10:00pm she’s asleep. She sleeps until 6:30 am for a quick feed goes back to sleep until 9:30 am (or later).
Remember, all babies are different and you have to do what works best for your little one.

18 weeks. I waited until she was in her own room (just so happened to be moving from an apt to house at this time), but if we were in our apartment any longer I would have bought a slumber pod and slept on the couch for a few nights while we trained her
